About us
Founded in late 2011, Cross Trails has served the North Texas area with reasonably priced board, riding lessons, and trail rides to people all over the United States! We run our facility as a family and treat our customers as such!
Missy and Gary Johnson have run our family farm since the late 80's, raising Haley and Mat Johnson as animal-lovers.
Both kids grew up taking care of animals and seeing their value as more than just pets.
Haley took a strong interest in horses specifically, leading her to compete in speed events growing up and then on to seek an education in Equine Science as an adult. As she studied, she learned aspects of equine health, horsemanship, and Equine Business. She used these tools to aid her in her riding instruction that continues to this day.
Missy took her love for the horses and gained an education in Equine Massage Therapy in order to help the horses feel their very best.
Gary is the fix-it man who is often credited for the fences, lean-to's, and good ground you might see at Cross Trails.
Bringing in the newest member of the family, Haley married a talented horseman by the name of Colt. Together, they have started the Wright Direction Horsemanship program in order to help others achieve their dreams.
Collectively, we work hard to make sure our customers and horses are taken care of at all times.
We hope we can meet you!
Thank you from all of us here at Cross Trails!
